WHEN: July 24, 2010, 8:00 a.m. (tee times and details provided after registration)
WHERE: Door Creek Golf Course, Cottage Grove, WI
ENTRY FEE: $69 per person (Individual or Scramble) (includes 18 hole round and prizes!) Scramble teams will be required to ride. Any players wishing to ride will pay cart fees the day of the event to the course.
WHO: Anyone who has a USGA Handicap is invited to participate as a member of a Scramble Team. If your handicap is 40.4 or less, you are eligible to enter as a Stroke Play Individual Participant. You will need an established handicap and have two full rounds of 18 holes or four complete rounds of 9 holes in the current year by the registration deadline.
FYI: A Scramble Team from the Madison Chapter won the National Competition in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 (Shelly Armstrong, Terri Redmond, Sarah Dekraay, Ginger Zimmerman).

Entry form: Each participant will need to complete a separate paper registration document (click this link to access Registration Form). Completed forms can be scanned and emailed to events@ewgamadison.org or faxed to EWGA Golf Events at 608-250-7220.
Payments must be made on-line using this website. (click on the link at the bottom of this web page) The fee for this event will include, one range token, greens fees, as well as the $35 EWGA championship fee. The Chapter will send in your $35 payment along with the completed entry form to the EWGA headquarters. Registrations will not be accepted after July 8, 2010.
SUMMARY OF 2010 EWGA CHAMPIONSHIP
This event is the largest, organized, women's amateur golf competition in the world! EWGA offers a time and place to put your game to the test. Members of all skill levels, provided you have a USGA Handicap, are encouraged to compete. More information regarding this national competition can be found at www.ewga.com.
Three stages -- ALL IN WISCONSIN THIS YEAR!!!
1) The Chapter Championship, an 18-hole qualifying round held at Door Creek Golf Course, Cottage Grove, WI on July 24, 2010.
2) The Semi-Final Championship, Upper Midwest District, an 18-hole District Semi-Final round held August 28, 2010 at Glen Erin Golf Club in Janesville, Wisconsin.
3) The EWGA Championship Finals, a two-day, 36-hole event held October 1-2, 2010 at the Geneva National Resort and Golf Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
How It Works:
The Low Gross and Low Net Champions in each flight are eligible to advance. The first place Inter-Chapter Team Scramble Competition winners are eligible to advance.
Registration information for the Semi-Final Championship will be provided at the Chapter Championship to all competitors eligible to advance.
The EWGA Championship by design, offers two different competitive formats: Stroke Play and Inter-Chapter Team Scramble Competition. You select the competitive format that best fits your game, personality and skill level....The choice is yours!

Stroke Play Competition (Click this link for details) Competitors are flighted in five flights at the Chapter Championship qualifying event based upon their USGA Handicap Index and remain in that flight throughout the Championship. The EWGA Championship is conducted with both Low Gross and Low Net Winner in each flight. For more details about participation, click on the words Stroke Play Competition.
Team Scramble Competition (Click this link for details) Now, if teamwork and teambuilding is your strength, this may be the format for you. This format consists of a four(4) woman team, comprised of your Chapter friends and fellow golfers, who meet the eligibility requirements to play in the scramble format.
