League play provides you with an opportunity to participate in regularly scheduled tee times, which is one of the best ways to learn or improve your golf game. It's also a great way to meet and get to know other EWGA members! The Madison Chapter of EWGA offers a variety of leagues. Whether you are just starting out or you have a single digit handicap, we have a league for you! Our league captains arrange a schedule so that you play with different league members each week. In addition, to add a little sizzle, most leagues run a light, handicap-based competition between arranged teams, and award prizes throughout and/or at the end of the season. Never kept a handicap before? Don't worry! We'll help you set up and maintain your handicap. All league registrations include participation in the WSGA handicap system. This not only helps document your progress on the course, but also enables you to enter our signature EWGA Championship Series.
League sign-up is on a first-come, first serve basis, and the first opportunity to sign up each season is at our Annual Kick-Off Reception held on March 25th at the Monona Terrace Convention Center on John Nolen Drive. Greens fees for the entire season are due when you sign-up, and there are no refunds.
If you'd like to participate but can't commit to a whole season, become a sub! We usually have league members who can't make it a particular week and would like someone to take their place. It's a great way to get out on the course as often as you can! Come out and join the fun!
